We recommend using a 2K clear coat for an optimal finish, so the paint achieves the same strength as 2K car paint, which does contain a hardener. The advantage of 2K car paint is that it does not require a clear coat, as the paint itself is strong enough due to the hardener.

However, when you order custom car paint from us, there is no difference in price whether you choose a solid colour or a metallic colour – the price is the same. Metallic paint is, however, exclusively available in 1K car paint, while solid colours are available in both 1K and 2K car paints.
