Pad Saver

Pad savers are designed to protect the backing pad from wear and tear, when sanding aggressively (orbital sander) and continuously with net products. These cost effective pad savers, placed between the backing pad and the sanding strip, should be changed regularly. The pad savers prolong the life of the backing pad. This product also acts as an 'adaptor' when using the Mirka Abranet abrasives on other makes of orbital sanders. 

1. Match the pad saver hole pattern to the backing pad by locating the matching holes on the pad saver to the locating spots on the backing pad.
2. Apply and press the pad saver firmly to the backing pad. Fasten the abrasive to the pad saver.
3. Place the sander on the object to be sanded and then start the sanding machine.

Mirka Pad Savers protects the sanding pad from wear caused by friction heat and removal of abrasive discs. Excellent dust extraction through the multi-hole pattern. Hook and loop attachment for quick installation between sanding pad and abrasive disc. Pad savers are available in:

Interface Pad for Sander

An interface pad is placed between the backing pad and the sanding disc. Using an interface pad will produce a softer result. Ideal for sanding rounded surfaces and contours when used in combination with hook and loop sanding discs! Mirka Abranet Interfaces are designed for dust-free sanding with Abranet, are available in many sizes to suit both Abranet Strips or Abranet Discs. Mirka Abranet Interfaces are also suitable for high-class sanding with other Mirka abrasives.

Interface Pad in Different Sizes

Interface pads increase the flexibility of a disc and help to evenly distribute machine movements and applied pressures. Interface pads are 5mm or 10mm thick and available in:
