2K coating or clear coat?

2K coating is the same as a 2 component clear coat. Both products contain a transparent 2K lacquer mixed with hardener. By mixing the 2 components together, the 2K coating becomes hard, scratch resistant and provides the car with protection against salt, stone chips, acids and chemicals. This makes a 2K coating the best protective agent against rust on your car. Because this product provides a professional protective layer, it is called a 2K coating.

Use 2K car coating as soil protection? An aerosol 2K coating is applied as a transparent protective layer on the bottom and underside of a car. How to spray a 2K coating?

Spraying a 2K coating on your car and floor is done in steps. With the step-by-step plan below you can spray a 2-component clear coat to make your car brand new. When spraying a 2K coating we always advise to read the manual of the spray before you start processing the coating. When spraying 2K coating, always wear a FFP3 makser and gloves.

1. Before you begin, the 2K spray should be at room temperature. The temperature of the environment in which you are going to spray the 2K coating should also be between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius.
2. Shake the spray well and vigorously for two minutes.
3. Remove the red button from the lid of the spray and place it on the pin located at the bottom of the spray can. While doing so, make sure that you place the red button straight on it!
4. Now press the red button firmly until it does not go any further. Make sure you press the button straight and not at an angle, otherwise the spray can may leak! A tip when activating the 2K spray can: place it firmly on a surface that is flat!
5. Now the seal between the hardener and 2K coating breaks. Again, you should shake the 2K spray well for two minutes so that the 2 components are well mixed together.
6. While spraying the 2K coating, keep a distance of 20 to 30cm from the surface.
7. First spray a thin spray layer and let it dry for one minute.
8. Now spray two full coats of 2K coating with a short pause in between.
9. Let the 2 component varnish dry for 15 minutes. If desired, you can apply an additional 2K coating layer to the car.
10. After the last coat, you should let everything cure for at least 24 hours.
