2K Wash Primer SprayMax aerosol is a 2-component wash primer for quick isolation of sanded through paint layers and polyester surfaces. This SprayMax 2K wash primer spray ensures a great adhesion of car paint on bare metal and all other surfaces. The SprayMax spray can is a 2-component spray can filled with high quality wash primer and hardener. After activating the 2-component spray can, the hardener mixes completely with the wash primer to deliver the best result for you.

SprayMax 2k Wash Primer is known for its great adhesion to all substrates. This makes this primer the perfect base coat for your car paint. This primer adheres perfectly to old paint coats, plastic surfaces, bare metal, iron, galvanized steel or stainless steel, cast iron and especially to aluminum and its alloys. Thanks to its micro-crystalline nature, the product has a passivating reaction on the metal and increases the corrosion resistance of the chosen paint system.

How do I use this 2-component wash primer spray can from SprayMax?
Before you start processing this 2K spray can wash primer, it is important that you know how the spray can and processing works. Please follow the rules below to achieve a professional end result.
- Remove loose rust
- Sand and thoroughly degrease the substrate
- Apply only to surfaces free of dust and grease
- Shake the can well for 2 minutes Remove the red push-button from the cap and place it straight onto the pin on the bottom of the can. Then press it firmly and shake the aerosol can for two minutes so that both components can mix and the hardening process is started. After mixing, the prepared 2K lacquer can be processed within 48 hours. Depending on environmental factors (temperature) this may also be longer or shorter.
- Spraying distance: 10 to 15 cm
- Number of layers: 1 to 2 layers
- One smooth spray pass corresponds to a dry film thickness of approximately 15 microns
- Evaporation time between layers: 5 minutes

- Dust dry: 1 spray coat 10 min; 2 coats 25 min
- Recoatable: 1 spray coat after 10 min; 2 coats 25 min
Further processing
- After dust drying, can be overpainted wet-on-wet with all common one-pack or two-pack primers
- Caution: not oversprayable with water-based paints or 2K Epoxy primers and 2K polyester putty.

A 400ml spray can covers approximately 1.5 to 2 m², depending on the material porosity and layer thickness. For larger projects or multiple layers, we recommend accounting for an extra 10% to ensure you don't run out halfway through.
How long is a 2K spray can usable after activation?
24 hours. After activating the 2K spray can, the two components will mix, starting the curing process, making the spray can usable for 24 hours.
