SprayMax 2K spray paint. How does it work?
SprayMax 2K spray paint works differently than a standard spray. Because a 2K spray can consists of 2 components (lacquer and hardener), you will have to activate the spray before use, so the hardener is added to the paint and they mix well together. Follow the steps below on how to use a 2K spray can yourself.
- Shake the spray can for 3 minutes.
- Remove the red cap from the cap on top of the spray can.
- Place the red cap on the bottom of the aerosol can on the valve. When doing so, make sure it is placed squarely on the valve!
- Then press the red button firmly.
- Shake the aerosol can again for 3 minutes so that the 2 components mix well.
- Ready! Just spray.

You can spray clear coat over 2K car paint, but it is not necessary! A major advantage of 2 component lacquer is that no clearcoat or varnish needs to be sprayed over it. This is due to the hardener that is mixed through the 2K lacquer.

Metallic lacquer in a 2K spray can?
Unfortunately, pearlescent or metallic lacquer cannot be made in a 2K aerosol can! Metallic car paint contains glitters and silver particles that can only be made in a 1K quality.
