CROP Anti Corrosion Primer Spray
CROP Anti Corrosion Primer is a special primer that protects metal surfaces from rusting. This metal primer ensures a better adhesion to the surface. It can be used as a filling primer or weld-thru primer. After curing, it can be sanded for a smooth surface.

CROP anti-corrosion primer also offers rust protection for SPOT, MIG, MAG & TIG welding applications. Use the primer before and after welding.
Anti-rust primer
Rust-resistant primer is a primer that protects metal from rusting. For the best result, we recommend removing existing rust to prevent any further corrosion.
How do I spray anti corrosion primer?
Learning how to apply CROP anti corrosion primer is very easy! Please follow the instructions below.
- Remove loose paint and rust from metal.
- Degrease the surface by using CROP Silicone Remover.
- Sand the surface for a better adhesion. Use grit P400, P500 and P600.
- Repeat step 2.
- Shake spray can well.
- Spray 1 to 3 layers anti-rust primer with a spray distance of 20 to 30cm. Apply a flash off time between coats of 3 to 5 minutes.
- After the final coat, let primer dry for about 30 minutes at 20°C. Afterwards, the primer is recoatable with 1K or 2K paint.
- Would you like to use the anti corrosion primer again next time? Turn the spray upside down and spray the nozzle empty until nothing comes out. Store it in a dark room

How do you remove adhesive residues

How much can I spray with a spray can?
A 400ml spray can covers approximately 1.5 to 2 m², depending on the material porosity and layer thickness. For larger projects or multiple layers, we recommend accounting for an extra 10% to ensure you don't run out halfway through.
Do you need to sand primer
Once the primer is dry, you need to sand it. Sanding the primer smooths the surface and lightly roughens the primer layer. This helps the color car paint or 2K paint adhere better to the primer. If you don’t sand the primer, the paint will not adhere as well to the base coat.
How long is a 2K spray can usable after activation?
24 hours. After activating the 2K spray can, the two components will mix, starting the curing process, making the spray can usable for 24 hours.
