Do I have to use primer?
Calipers are made of metal. For optimal and long-lasting adhesion of the paint, we recommend using 2K epoxy primer. A 2-component epoxy primer provides extremely strong adhesion of the paint, while at the same time providing excellent protection against rust and corrosion. Always use a primer before using the paint.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do you remove adhesive residues
Are there adhesive residues on your car from a sticker or car wrap? Removing adhesive residues from the car can be tricky without damaging the paint. To remove adhesive residues without scratching, it’s best to use a caramel wheel. This is a rubber grinding wheel specifically designed to remove adhesive residues without damaging the car paint
How much can I spray with a spray can?
A 400ml spray can covers approximately 1.5 to 2 m², depending on the material porosity and layer thickness. For larger projects or multiple layers, we recommend accounting for an extra 10% to ensure you don't run out halfway through.
How many layers of car paint should I apply?
The number of layers of automotive paint you need to apply depends on the coverage of the color. Usually, 3 layers are sufficient. However, for lighter color paints that have less coverage, we recommend applying an additional layer of color until you achieve the desired result.
How long should car paint cure?
The curing time for automotive paint depends on temperature, humidity, and layer thickness. At higher temperatures, the curing process is faster compared to lower temperatures. Additionally, 1K automotive paint dries faster than 2K automotive paint.
What is the drying time for car paint?
The drying time of automotive paint is determined by 3 factors: layer thickness, temperature, and humidity. We recommend monitoring this yourself until the paint is dust-dry. Once this is the case, the paint can be over-sprayed with clear coat or handled!
How long is a 2K spray can usable after activation?
24 hours. After activating the 2K spray can, the two components will mix, starting the curing process, making the spray can usable for 24 hours.
When is this car paint spray can suitable for you?
Read more Read less
- Spraying car or motorcycle brake calipers: If you want to give the brake calipers of your vehicle a fresh, wear-resistant color, this spray can offers a professional result. The 2K formula ensures a hard and chemical-resistant finish that lasts a long time.
- Small surfaces that need to be heat-resistant: This paint is also suitable for other small parts that need to be heat-resistant and require a scratch-resistant finish, such as engine block parts or other metal components subject to high temperatures.
- Less suitable for large surfaces or body parts: For spraying larger surfaces such as complete body parts or rims, this spray can is less efficient. In that case, choose a traditional paint applied with a spray gun for a more even result and better coverage.
