Brake Caliper Paint Yellow (Ceramic)

Yellow is exclusive and known as the color for ceramic brakes. The bright yellow color let the car calipers look extremely tough!

Brake Caliper Paint Green (Porsche Hybrid)

Porsche hybrid cars have calipers in a unique green color. We can mix the exact Porsche color and fill it in a 2K spray can.

Brake Caliper Paint Blue

Blue gives your car a distinctive, yet solid appearance. It is known from the electric cars at Volkswagen, Audi and Skoda!

Brake Caliper Paint White

Brake Caliper Paint Purple

Do I have to use primer?

Calipers are made of metal. For optimal and long-lasting adhesion of the paint, we recommend using 2K epoxy primer. A 2-component epoxy primer provides extremely strong adhesion of the paint, while at the same time providing excellent protection against rust and corrosion. Always use a primer before using the paint.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you remove adhesive residues

Are there adhesive residues on your car from a sticker or car wrap? Removing adhesive residues from the car can be tricky without damaging the paint. To remove adhesive residues without scratching, it’s best to use a caramel wheel. This is a rubber grinding wheel specifically designed to remove adhesive residues without damaging the car paint

How much can I spray with a spray can?

A 400ml spray can covers approximately 1.5 to 2 m², depending on the material porosity and layer thickness. For larger projects or multiple layers, we recommend accounting for an extra 10% to ensure you don't run out halfway through.

How many layers of car paint should I apply?

The number of layers of automotive paint you need to apply depends on the coverage of the color. Usually, 3 layers are sufficient. However, for lighter color paints that have less coverage, we recommend applying an additional layer of color until you achieve the desired result.

How long should car paint cure?

The curing time for automotive paint depends on temperature, humidity, and layer thickness. At higher temperatures, the curing process is faster compared to lower temperatures. Additionally, 1K automotive paint dries faster than 2K automotive paint.

What is the drying time for car paint?

The drying time of automotive paint is determined by 3 factors: layer thickness, temperature, and humidity. We recommend monitoring this yourself until the paint is dust-dry. Once this is the case, the paint can be over-sprayed with clear coat or handled!

How long is a 2K spray can usable after activation?

24 hours. After activating the 2K spray can, the two components will mix, starting the curing process, making the spray can usable for 24 hours.

When is this 2K brake caliper paint in an aerosol can suitable for you?

For painting brake calipers that must withstand heat, brake dust, and dirt. The 2-component lacquer cures into a hard, chemically resistant layer that can withstand brake cleaner and stone chips better than ordinary aerosol paint.

  • Painting brake calipers without disassembling them: With an aerosol can, you can work quickly around the caliper, provided you mask off the surrounding area well. The 2K lacquer adheres to metal and, after curing, is resistant to the heat normally reached by brake calipers.
  • Painting a set of calipers in a uniform, even colour: For a sleek result in a single colour, such as red, yellow, or blue, a spray can is more forgiving than brushes. Spraying thin layers prevents drips and gives a smoother surface.
  • Less suitable for those who do not have time for preparation: The calipers must be thoroughly degreased, sanded, and masked, and the 2K component must be activated before use. Those who only want to touch up a small spot will be finished faster with a heat-resistant touch-up pen.
