Raptor Liner Tough black body liner 2K paint set
Raptor Liner Tough is a complete set consisting of the black body liner, it’s hardener, mixing cup and instructions. This liner is specially designed for long lasting protection of the bed liner, boot or underbody of your van, truck, pick-up or other vehicle with a solid non-slip hammered look in the colour black. Tough sets are available in 1 litre and 4 litre packs. This versatile product can be applied with a paint roller or spray gun. It is also possible to add Raptor Liner's anti-skid additive Traction to the final coat for additional anti-skid properties.
Highly wear resistant body liner
Have you always wanted your trunk or box to be coated with a tough, textured, black, durable and scratch resistant body liner finish? This lining is abrasion, scratch, water and UV resistant. You can enjoy it for years to come. The product protects these sensitive areas against rust, corrosion, salt, acids etc.
How do I apply the Raptor Liner body liner?
Raptor Liner Tough is applied with a spray gun or paint roller. Follow the tips below.
- Sand the surface first.
- Is there any rust? Then treat with a rust converter.
- Apply the right primer.
- Aluminium, iron and other metals: Raptor Liner reactive primer or epoxy.
- Plastic: Raptor Liner Adhesion Promoter Primer.
- Existing paint or varnish: a light sanding is normally sufficient, provided you do not sand through the primer.
- Mix the hardener thoroughly into the coating.
- Shake or stir the components thoroughly for at least two minutes.
- Place the well-mixed product in the spray gun cup or paint tray for the roller.
- We recommend applying at least 2 to 3 coats: allow 60 minutes evaporation time between coats.
- The body liner paint should cure for at least 24 hours after the last coat.
- For best results, work at room temperature and in a dust-free (closed) space.
Matt, gloss or satin?
Tough usually dries matt to satin. The gloss level of the Raptor Liner can be varied by the number of bars used and the distance between nozzle and substrate. Use the following to achieve the desired result.
- Matt: 5 to 7 bar. Maintain a distance of 70-80 cm between nozzle and surface
- Glossy: 2 to 3 bar. Maintain a distance of 40 to 50 cm between nozzle and surface
- Satin/matt: 3 to 5 bar. Maintain a distance of 50-60 cm between nozzle and surface
Adheres to most surfaces
Tough by Raptor Liner will adhere to any surface with existing paint, varnish or primer that has been sanded and degreased. The coating can be applied to the following substrates.
