Product information

Hammerite Anti rust spray

Hammerite Anti rust spray is a primer spray that you can spray on bare and rusted metal. The primer anti-rust spray from Hammerite stops the rust immediately and has an anti-corrosion property that prevents treated metal from rusting in the future. Hammerite anti-rust spray cannot be used on non-ferrous metals (zinc, aluminum and galvanized steel).

Primer anti-rust spray can

This Hammerite spray can is a primer anti-rust spray to spray directly over metal that has rusted. The Hammerite anti-rust spray stops rusting and applies a protective layer that is incredibly durable. Thanks to the spray can, you can use this anti-rust spray to get into hard-to-reach places that a brush or roller can't reach.

How to use Hammerite anti-rust spray?

Hammerite anti-rust spray is easy to use for spraying an anti-corrosion primer in places that are hard to reach with a paint roller or brush. The spray works very accessible and can be used by anyone. Use the step-by-step plan below on how to use Hammerite anti-rust spray.

  1. Remove paint and rust that is loose.
  2. Clean the surface with Hammerite metal degreaser.
  3. Lightly sand the surface and clean again with degreaser.
  4. Shake spray can well at least 3 minutes before use.
  5. Apply at least 3 thin coats and spray in a smooth motion.
  6. Keep a spraying distance of 25cm.
  7. Applying another anti-rust primer? Wait at least 15 minutes.
  8. After 24 hours, the anti-rust spray is repaintable with metal paint, alkyd paint and acrylic paint.
  9. Tip: never hold the spray can still while spraying, this prevents sags.
  10. Note: the spray can should be at room temperature.
