CROP Polyester Putty 1,3 liter is a professional 2K putty on polyester resin base. This 2 component polyester putty is soft and creamy making it very easy to apply. Besides filling and leveling, this is directly a finishing putty that dries tight. After the CROP polyester putty cures, you can sand it down incredibly easily. Thanks to the 1.3 liter can, it is ideal for filling rims and your car!

Self-leveling putty without pores and pinholes

Sanding polyester putty? You need this grit!
Sand polyester putty once it is fully cured. For sanding polyester-based putty, we recommend grit P80 to start with. Then continue sanding in steps to P120 and P180 for a nice clean sanded fiberglass putty. After the putty is dry you can apply your desired primer that serves as a primer for your paint.

Mixing ratio polyester 2K putty
The polyester 2K putty mixing ratio is 2 to 3%. Add between 2 and 3% hardener to the putty and mix the two components well while making the putty. Use a mixing pad with a spatula or putty knife to do this. Too much hardener can lead to too rapid curing and can also cause the putty to detach or mark through the paint. Therefore, always mix the putty with hardener carefully and avoid drawing in air while mixing.

- Small imperfections on steel or aluminium parts: Think of a body panel, steel door, or gate with dimples, scratches, or weld seams. This filler adheres to bare metal and, after curing, is hard enough to sand flat for an even coat of paint.
- Leveling before spraying: When a touch-up stick provides insufficient coverage but welding is too heavy, this filler truly fills the imperfection. Degreasing, lightly sanding, and applying thinly is sufficient for a neat, smooth base.
- Less suitable for wood and flexible surfaces: Metal putty does not adhere well to wooden frames or furniture; use wood putty for that. For plastic bumpers or thin sheet metal that flexes, choose a flexible putty, because this hard layer can crack with movement.
