GAPOL Black Polyester Putty with Hardener

GAPOL filler is a high quality black filler for general use and adhesion on all metals and plastics. This GAPOL filler can be sanded quickly and is also simultaneously a built barn guide!

Some characteristics of the GAPOL filler:

Definition:

• GAPOL is a polyester mastic of fine granulate on the basis of unsaturated polyester resins. 
• Product is adjusted for body repairs. 
• Good adhesion to classical and electro-galvanized steel sheets as well as aluminium, platics, etc. 

User:

• Carefully hardener into the tube (benzoyl peroxide) mix with the mastic until a homogeneous colour is obtained.
• Pot life of the mixture and curing time depend on the amount of hardener and the ambient temperature.

Pot life:

• With 1% of hardener: 30' at 20°C
• With 2% hardener: 20' at 20°C
• With 3% hardener: 10' at 20°C

The application is done by means of a Japanese knife or rubber on a clean surface, dry and rust. In the case of galvanized steel and aluminium, ot is advisable to sand the surface first for optimal adhesion. Other surfaces: wood, concrete, coated polyester.

Drying:

Like the pot life, the hardening and sanding of the mastic depending on the temperature and amount of curing agent.

Built-in sanding guide:

When sanding the filler is grey in colour which indicates directly the places there are not enough filled because obviously these places remain black. These patches can then be refilled. By the light moistening the filler is re-black and verification may again be carried out.

Built-in coverage guide:

When the primer is applied, we have direct control over the coverage thereor on where not enough primer has been applied, the grout remains visible.

Built-in by sanding guide of the primer:

When sanding of the primer is directly observed when there is by the primer sanded. The grout is namely visible black to this place.

Storage and shelf life:

Store in a dry and well-ventilated place at a temperature below 30°C under these conditions, the product can be stored up to 12 months.
