Description

MIPA Zink Spray zinc rich primer

MIPA Zink Spray is a high zinc content primer to protect metal against rust and corrosion. This rust protection coating contains over 90% zinc, which means that it can be used in combination with spot welding. Zink Spray can be coated with paint and applied to rust. Thanks to its high quality, the product dries quickly and is heat resistant up to 300 degrees Celsius.

Zink Spray on rust

The application of zinc primer on rust is possible if you first degrease and clean the metal well. Before spraying zinc on rust, it is important that you first sand the surface to obtain a better adhesion. If you apply the zinc primer to a rusty area, the metal will have better protection against corrosion.

Is it possible to apply another finish on the Zink Spray?

Zinc primer can be covered with paint when it is completely dry and cured. Before spraying paint on the zinc primer, you must first apply a primer. This ensures that the paint adheres permanently to the zinc spray. Since the zinc spray can be overcoated, you can paint the surface in any colour you like.

How do I apply Zink Spray?

Do you want to apply a high-quality zinc primer? Zink Spray from MIPA is known as a quick and easy product to use. Follow the step-by-step plan below.

  1. Shake the spray can well before use.
  2. Use at a temperature between 15 and 25°C.
  3. Maintain a spray distance of 20-30 cm from the surface.
  4. Apply 2 to 3 thin coats
  5. Caution! Do not apply coats too thickly in order avoid sagging.
  6. Allow 3 minutes for evaporation between coats.
  7. After the last coat, you must allow the product to harden.
  8. Finished with spraying? Turn the can upside down and press the nozzle until only the propellant comes out. Now the nozzle is clean, and you can store the remaining primer.
