MIPA Winner Matt Black Paint in a convenient aerosol can
Winner by MIPA is a 1K matt black aerosol paint with high coverage. It is a fast drying paint that adheres well to various surfaces. This black shade is comparable to RAL9005 in a matte finish. Due to the high quality, this paint is weather resistant and 100% weatherproof. This paint is well known for its easy and fast application.
Aerosol black matt
MIPA's Winner Aerosol contains matt black paint that dries quickly, has excellent coverage and strong adhesion to the surface. It is a 1K finish, making it suitable for spraying parts or objects quickly. This aerosol provides a nice atomization of the paint when spraying, so the surface is sprayed nice and even.
Use a primer for better adhesion
To ensure that MIPA Winner Flat Black paint adheres well to the substrate, we always recommend spraying a primer. Applying a primer promotes a long-lasting adhesion to the surface you wish to spray. Lightly sand the surface, preferably with P400 or P500 grit, before spraying. Then clean the material with a degreaser, preferably the MIPA silicone remover.
Do you want to spray matte black paint with an aerosol?
Do you want to spray a matte black finish on a surface? MIPA's Winner is an easy-to-spray matte paint in RAL9005 in convenient spraycan format. Follow the step-by-step plan below.
- Shake the can vigorously before use until you hear the mixing balls move freely.
- Use the paint at a temperature between 15 and 25°C.
- Maintain a spray distance of 20 to 30 cm from the surface.
- Spray 3 to 4 thin coats of paint. Be careful, when spraying too thick layers, the finish may shine!
- Allow 5 minutes of evaporation time between coats.
- After the last coat, you must let the paint harden.
- Finished spraying? Turn the can upside down and squeeze the nozzle until only the propellant comes out. Now the nozzle is clean and you can store the remaining paint.
Protect the finish on with a clear coat
Do you want to give extra protection against the sun's UV rays, scratches, fuel, salt or impacts after spraying the matt black paint? Then apply a clear coat afterwards. To maintain the matte look, we recommend spraying with MIPA's matte varnish.

How do you remove adhesive residues
Are there adhesive residues on your car from a sticker or car wrap? Removing adhesive residues from the car can be tricky without damaging the paint. To remove adhesive residues without scratching, it’s best to use a caramel wheel. This is a rubber grinding wheel specifically designed to remove adhesive residues without damaging the car paint
How much can I spray with a spray can?
A 400ml spray can covers approximately 1.5 to 2 m², depending on the material porosity and layer thickness. For larger projects or multiple layers, we recommend accounting for an extra 10% to ensure you don't run out halfway through.
What is the drying time for RAL spray paint?
The drying time of RAL spray paint depends on temperature, layer thickness, humidity, and the temperature of the object you're spraying. These factors can affect the drying time of the car paint. However, this RAL paint is known for its quick drying time. This means the paint will be dust-dry after 10 minutes and can be overpainted with clear coat after 15 minutes.
Should clear coat be applied over car paint?
Yes, you should use clear coat over 1K automotive paint to protect the color. When buying clear coat, you have options such as high-gloss, satin, and matte, as well as 1K and 2K. 2K clear coat is the original factory high-gloss finish and is the most commonly chosen varnish.
How many layers of car paint should I apply?
The number of layers of automotive paint you need to apply depends on the coverage of the color. Usually, 3 layers are sufficient. However, for lighter color paints that have less coverage, we recommend applying an additional layer of color until you achieve the desired result.
How long should car paint cure?
The curing time for automotive paint depends on temperature, humidity, and layer thickness. At higher temperatures, the curing process is faster compared to lower temperatures. Additionally, 1K automotive paint dries faster than 2K automotive paint.
What is the drying time for car paint?
The drying time of automotive paint is determined by 3 factors: layer thickness, temperature, and humidity. We recommend monitoring this yourself until the paint is dust-dry. Once this is the case, the paint can be over-sprayed with clear coat or handled!
