CROP 2K Scratch Resistant High Gloss Clear Varnish 1 liter is a High Solid acrylic varnish with Reflow technology. Thanks to the specially patented formula, this HS 2K clear varnish is scratch resistant and yet pliable, flexible and elastic. Because the 2 component high gloss clear coat becomes incredibly hard, it is highly resistant to scratches, use marks and other external influences. Self healing clear coat

Self healing clear coat is a special varnish that repairs scratches, swirls and light signs of use itself by removing them from the paint by heat. The self-healing property is often triggered by heat from sunlight. When the car is in the sun, the paint becomes incredibly hot after which the Reflow technology begins. The paint melts and flows back together to remove scratches.

Scratch resistant clear coat spraying

This scratch resistant clear coat is sprayed using a spray gun with a 1.3 mm or 1.4 mm nozzle opening at a compressed air pressure of 2.5 to 3 bar. Follow the steps below to correctly spray this 2K HS clear coat.

1. Adjust your spray gun to a compressed air pressure of 2.5 to 3 bar maximum.
2. Wipe the color, base coat or 2K lacquer with a tack cloth making it 100% dust-free.
3. Spray a thin coat and wait 10 minutes.
4. Now spray a full 2nd coat and allow the clear coat to evaporate for another 10 minutes.
5. Spray a 3rd and final coat of clear coat after which you let the clear coat cure completely.

Mixing ratio HS 2K clear coat 1 liter

The mixing ratio of the HS 2K clear coat is 2:1. This means that to 1 liter of clear coat, you need to add 500ml of hardener. If desired, you can dilute the clear coat including hardener up to 5% with CROP Universal Thinner for the desired viscosity.

Drying time 2K Clear Coat High Solid

Drying time of 2K Clear Coat High Solid depends on temperature, humidity and layer thickness. Keep the following guidelines regarding the drying time of this scratch-resistant varnish at 20 degrees Celsius.

• Dust-dry: 30 minutes
• Can be handled: 6 to 7 hours
