MIPA Etch Primer spray can

MIPA Etch Primer Spray can is a fast drying primer with self-etching effect for non-ferrous metal, iron, aluminum, zinc and steel. MIPA's etch primer dries quickly, making it re-sprayable after only 30 minutes with any paint or automotive paint in 1K and 2K quality.

Etch primer aluminum

MIPA etch primer is excellent for spraying aluminum in an etching primer. Thanks to its self-etching effect, this primer adheres powerfully to any aluminum substrate or surface. This makes MIPA etch primer a great primer for any paint.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you remove adhesive residues

Are there adhesive residues on your car from a sticker or car wrap? Removing adhesive residues from the car can be tricky without damaging the paint. To remove adhesive residues without scratching, it’s best to use a caramel wheel. This is a rubber grinding wheel specifically designed to remove adhesive residues without damaging the car paint

How much can I spray with a spray can?

A 400ml spray can covers approximately 1.5 to 2 m², depending on the material porosity and layer thickness. For larger projects or multiple layers, we recommend accounting for an extra 10% to ensure you don't run out halfway through.

Do you need to sand primer

Once the primer is dry, you need to sand it. Sanding the primer smooths the surface and lightly roughens the primer layer. This helps the color car paint or 2K paint adhere better to the primer. If you don’t sand the primer, the paint will not adhere as well to the base coat.

Good product and top service
Fast delivery, personal approach and excellent service. Product used for the first time, adheres well to aluminum (tail of outboard motor) and nice spray but first time spraying a bit too fast and too much resulting in 2 drips. Tip; apply minimal first coat, wait a while and build up slowly, filler primer over it adheres well. Time will tell how the build-up with lacquer holds up after a long time, therefore for now 4 iov 5 stars. Perhaps feedback after years and 5 stars.
