PPG A712 Polyester Spray Filler

A712 Polyester Spray Filler is designed for repairing large surfaces with significant damage and irregularities, where conventional putties are unsuitable and time-consuming. PPG's spray putty is suitable for polyester, plastic, metal and galvanized steel, among others.

2K putty

Because 2K putty from PPG has a fast drying time, you can easily apply it in a high layer thickness to various substrates. After sanding, the filler can be overcoated with any refinish primer or surfacer before the topcoat is applied. Use this professional 2K spray putty to make major repairs such as spraying a car in spray putty.

What is the best way to apply spray putty? PPG 2K spray putty levels out unevenness in body panels after which you can sand the spray putty smooth so the car is ready to be primed. Follow the steps below.

1. Thoroughly clean and dry the surface before and after.
2. Sand off bare steel (including blasted steel) and completely rust free with P80-120.
3. Use D845 DX310 Strong Degreaser to thoroughly degrease the surface.
4. A712 Spray Filler can be applied directly to the surface, but the use of PPG Epoxy Primer increases corrosion resistance.

Note: pre-prime other bare metal such as aluminum, galvanized steel and fiberglass.
