2K Primer Filler 4 liter can
MIPA F54 2K-HS-Grundierfiller is a 2-component primer of professional quality in a large 4 liter can. This 2K primer is a very fast and well sandable, high-filling High-Solid primer with built-in corrosion protection and excellent automotive paint adhesion. This MIPA F54 primer has a high standing capacity and is also extremely suitable for filling and isolating during partial repair (spot repair) without edge marking and later sinking of the paint. Thanks to the large 4 liter container, this 4 liter can is ideally suited for complete vehicle refinishing and priming.
What can I use this primer for?
Universal use on sheet metal, putty, primer, sanded old paintwork and polyester-based body parts. Can be finished with all common paints such as water-based 1K basecoat, conventional 1K basecoat, 2K automotive paint, Alkyd paint etc.
Can I easily sand this primer?
This 2K-HS primer from MIPA can be easily sanded to a smooth and even surface. However, you should use the right grit for this. Our sanding recommendation is P400 dry or P600 waterproof sanding paper for 2K paint systems. For 2-layer systems (base coat + clear coat), we recommend sanding the primer with P500 dry or P800 waterproof.

Do you need to sand primer
Once the primer is dry, you need to sand it. Sanding the primer smooths the surface and lightly roughens the primer layer. This helps the color car paint or 2K paint adhere better to the primer. If you don’t sand the primer, the paint will not adhere as well to the base coat.
