Product information

MIPA grey plastic filler primer

MIPA Auto Spray is a high filling plastic primer that allows the subsequent coat of paint to adhere to the plastic. This product is known as a fast drying primer that fills scratches, cracks, dents and other irregularities in a plastic surface. Unlike other plastic primers, this one is grey in colour. Once dry, you can sand the primer to a smooth surface.

Grey plastic primer

Auto Spray from MIPA is a grey plastic primer that dries matt. Because it is grey in colour, this primer is the ideal base for spraying most coloured paint coats. Since most plastic primers are transparent, you often depend on the colour of the background. With this grey primer, you will no longer have this problem. After spraying the plastic primer, the entire surface is grey with a neutral colour. This allows you to work faster and save extra costs.

How do I spray the plastic primer?

Follow the step-by-step plan below on how to best apply this MIPA plastic primer. This product is known as a quick-drying, easy-to-spray primer.

  1. Shake the can vigorously before use until you hear the mixing beads move freely.
  2. Use at temperatures between 15 and 25ºC.
  3. Maintain a spray distance of 20-30 cm from the surface.
  4. Apply 2 to 3 full coats of primer.
  5. Allow to evaporate 3 minutes between coats.
  6. After the last coat, you must allow the product to harden.
  7. Finished spraying? Turn the can upside down and press the nozzle until only the propellant comes out. Now the nozzle is clean and you can store the remaining product.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you remove adhesive residues

Are there adhesive residues on your car from a sticker or car wrap? Removing adhesive residues from the car can be tricky without damaging the paint. To remove adhesive residues without scratching, it’s best to use a caramel wheel. This is a rubber grinding wheel specifically designed to remove adhesive residues without damaging the car paint

How much can I spray with a spray can?

A 400ml spray can covers approximately 1.5 to 2 m², depending on the material porosity and layer thickness. For larger projects or multiple layers, we recommend accounting for an extra 10% to ensure you don't run out halfway through.
