What sandpaper can I use to sand doors?

For sanding doors, it is best to use sandpaper with a grain size between 120 and 240. This provides a good balance between material removal and obtaining a smooth finish. Choose a finer sandpaper (240) for the final finish after prefinishing with coarser paper.
