Extreme Heat Resistant Paint Matte Red in Raptor Flameproof spray

Raptor Flameproof spray is an extremely heat resistant paint in the color red matte for spraying exhaust manifolds, engine parts, mufflers and other metal surfaces or surrounding engine parts that can get extremely hot. Thanks to advanced ceramic resins, this exhaust paint is heat resistant up to 1000°C. As a result, your exhaust enjoys long-lasting protection against heat, corrosion, chemicals, oil and other Automotive fluids. This makes the Raptor Flameproof Paint spray can ideal for both car enthusiasts and professionals who want to paint their exhaust red with a professional finish.

Exhaust paint with stylish matte red finish

Raptor's Flameproof Paint not only provides fireproof protection, but also ensures that the exhaust paint has a matte red finish that is stylish. Once cured, the heat-resistant coating is chemically resistant to oil, fuel and solvents. This makes the refractory paint perfect for parts in the engine compartment or on the underside of car such as the exhaust. Thanks to its excellent adhesion, the paint stays on for a long time without flaking or discoloration.

Combine with Raptor primer and clear coat for best results

This matte red lacquer is excellent to combine with Raptor Flameproof Primer and, if desired, to finish with Raptor Flameproof silk gloss clear coat. This way you build a complete paint system that can withstand both high temperatures and daily use.

How to use Raptor Exhaust Paint Red spray can?

Want to give your exhaust or other refractory parts a new, durable and stylish look with the red Raptor Flameproof spray paint can? Then follow the steps below for the best results.

  1. Step 1: Provide a safe and well-ventilated work environment
    1. Work outside or in a well-ventilated area. Always wear protective gloves, goggles and a mouth mask while sanding and spraying. The spray mist and fumes can be harmful if used unprotected.
  2. Step 2: Disassemble the parts or shield the area
    1. For best results, it is recommended to disassemble parts from the car. Want to leave them in place? Then carefully tape off all surrounding parts such as hoses, cables and bodywork to avoid overspray.
  3. Step 3: Clean and degrease thoroughly
    1. Use a degreaser to completely remove dirt, oil, grease and engine fluids. A clean surface is essential for proper paint adhesion and durability.
  4. Step 4: Lightly sand the surface
    1. Sand the surface of the engine block with 180- to 220-grit sandpaper to lightly roughen it. This promotes paint adhesion. For already painted or primed surfaces: use finer sandpaper such as 400 to 600-grit (primer) or P800-P1000 (painted parts). Then clean again.
  5. Step 5: Apply a primer for engine block paint
    1. To ensure good and lasting adhesion, we recommend using the Raptor Flameproof Primer spray can. This serves as a primer for making the paint adhere to the engine block.
  6. Step 6: Preparation of the spray can
    1. Make sure the spray can is at room temperature (between 15-25°C). Shake the spray vigorously for at least 2 minutes to mix the contents well. This prevents spraying problems and ensures an even result.
  7. Step 7: Apply several thin coats
    1. Hold the spray can about 15 to 25cm away from the surface. Apply 2 to 3 thin coats at 10 minutes intervals (flash-off time). This will prevent drips and provide even coverage. Spray with gentle, overlapping motions.
  8. Step 8: Finish with a clear coat
    1. For extra protection, finish your engine block paint with a clear coat. This protects the color even better against wear, discoloration and outside influences.
  9. Step 9: Let the paint dry and cure
    1. After applying the final coat, let the paint dry at room temperature for at least 4 hours. Ideally, you should let it dry overnight. After this, you can let the paint cure further by idling the engine or baking the part at 150°C for 1 hour.
