MIPA Isolator Primer
MIPA Isolator is a one-pack primer that can be sprayed over an existing paint, primer, 2K lacquer or automotive paint as a transparent insulating lacquer. By spraying MIPA Isolator over an old layer of paint or varnish, you prevent possible burning up or cracking of paint. In short, the MIPA Isolator Spray is the solver for many problems!
Spraying over old lacquer or paint? Use the isolator primer!
Spraying new paint over existing old paint, but don't know what kind of paint is on it? Use the MIPA Isolator to isolate the substrate with old paint or lacquer before you spray a new paint. This prevents new paint from "reacting," burning up or cracking and cracking.
How to spray isolating primer?
MIPA Isolator is easy to spray on existing paint, primer, 2-component lacquer and automotive paint. We recommend spraying MIPA Isolator with a paint sprayer with 1.4 nozzle. Observe the following points when using the MIPA Isolator.
- Always sand the existing paint or varnish before spraying MIPA Isolator.
- Spray at a temperature between 15 and 25°C.
- Always spray a closed layer (at least 2 coats).
- For best adhesion, we recommend spraying a primer after the isolator spray.
- Isolator primer can be over-sprayed with base coat + clear coat.
- MIPA Isolator can also be over-sprayed directly with 2-component varnish.
