Hammerite Metal Paint colors have high hiding power, very good adhesion to (ferrous) metal and can be applied directly over rust. Each Hammerite Metaallak color can be applied without primer or basecoat. The satin Hammerite Metal Lacquer colors are:

How to paint silk gloss Hammerite Metal Paint?

Roadmap: Hammerite Metal Paint, allows you to professionally paint metal yourself. With the instructions below, you can paint iron with metal paint yourself.

1. Remove loose rust and/or paint with sandpaper.
2. Clean bare metal with Hammerite Brush Cleaner & Thinner.
3. Is the surface painted or varnished? Clean this with Hammerite Metal Degreaser.
4. Roughen the surface with sandpaper.
5. Clean the surface again with degreaser.
6. Painting on non-ferrous metal? If so, first paint with Hammerite Adhesion Primer.
7. Stir the Hammerite metal paint for at least 2 minutes.
8. Apply the 2 coats of metal paint with a brush or roller.
9. Easy to roll Hammerite metal paint with a paint roller? Then dilute it 10% with Hammerite Brush Cleaner & Thinner.
10. Advice: paint metal paint when the room is at room temperature.
