Raptor Roll Bar & Chassis Paint spray can is a professional paint in the color black high gloss for spraying car parts exposed to dirt, gravel, moisture, stone chips and other forms of impact. Thus, the Raptor Roll Bar & Chassis Paint spray can black is ideal for color spraying the chassis, frame beams, suspension parts of the car or a roll cage. This makes this spray can of high gloss black chassis paint from Raptor ideal for off-road cars, restoration projects or everyday used cars that need a rugged finish.
Self-priming paint saves time and work
Where other chassis paint needs a separate primer, you can apply this paint directly to bare metal or lightly sanded paint. This is due to the self-priming nature of the paint, which means you spend less time preparing and still benefit from excellent adhesion. This makes Raptor chassis paint ideal for on steel, aluminum and galvanized metal.
Heat resistant chassis paint black high gloss
Car parts under the vehicle regularly get hot and come into contact with oil, water, stone chips, sand, gravel and brine. Raptor Roll Bar & Chassis Paint withstands temperatures up to 120°C and remains glossy and tough. Once cured, the paint is resistant to oil, fuel, salt water and other liquids, keeping your car parts protected for years to come.
Sleek gloss finish with durable appearance
This chassis alk dries to a high-gloss black finish that not only protects, but also gives a professional look. The specially designed fan-nozzle ensures even atomization, allowing you to spray even larger areas neatly without drips or overspray. Ideal for those who want a tight end result with minimal effort.
How to use Raptor Roll Bar & Chassis Paint Black spray can?
Want to give car parts a new, durable and stylish look with the high-gloss black Raptor Roll Bar & Chassis Paint spray can? Then follow the steps below for the best results.
- Step 1: Provide a safe and well-ventilated work environment
- Work outside or in a well-ventilated area. Always wear protective gloves, goggles and a mouth mask while sanding and spraying. The spray mist and fumes can be harmful if used unprotected.
- Step 2: Disassemble car parts or shield the area
- For best results, it is recommended to disassemble parts from the car. Want to leave them in place? Then carefully tape off all surrounding parts such as hoses, cables and bodywork to avoid overspray.
- Step 3: Clean and degrease thoroughly
- Use a degreaser to completely remove dirt, oil, grease and engine fluids. A clean surface is essential for proper paint adhesion and durability.
- Step 4: Lightly sand the surface
- Sand the surface of the engine block with 180- to 220-grit sandpaper to lightly roughen it. This promotes paint adhesion. For already painted or primed surfaces: use finer sandpaper such as 400 to 600-grit (primer) or P800-P1000 (painted parts). Then clean again.
- Step 5: Preparation of the spray can
- Make sure the spray can is at room temperature (between 15-25°C). Shake the spray vigorously for at least 2 minutes to mix the contents well. This prevents spraying problems and ensures even results.
- Step 6: Apply several thin coats
- Hold the spray can about 15 to 25cm away from the surface. Apply 2 to 3 thin coats at 10 minutes intervals (flash-off time). This will prevent drips and provide even coverage. Spray with gentle, overlapping motions.
- Step 7: Finish with a clear coat
- For extra protection, finish the engine block paint with a clear coat. This protects the color even better against wear, discoloration and outside influences.
- Step 8: Let the paint dry and cure
- After applying the final coat, let the engine block dry at room temperature for at least 4 hours. Ideally, you should let it dry overnight.
