Deburring discs

Deburring wheels are special grinding wheels, also called flap wheels, for deburring any material or surface. A deburring disc is placed on an angle grinder after which the disc removes burrs from metal, steel, iron, aluminum or other galvanized materials. Burrs can also be removed using an abrasive file in combination with an abrasive belt. It depends on the size of the burr, how you want to grind it away.

Deburring with a deburring wheel

Deburring is commonly done with a deburring wheel. The deburring wheel is specially designed to quickly and effectively remove burrs without damaging the surface. Deburring wheels can be purchased in different sizes (diameter), thicknesses and coarseness. Depending on how large or what kind of material the surface is, choose the desired deburring disc.

Flap disc to remove burrs

Prefer to remove burrs with a lamellar wheel? You can! A flap wheel is known for the fact that this grinding wheel works very quickly and aggressively on any surface. The name of this grinding wheel comes from the fact that on the disc are placed lamellas. Flap wheels can be purchased in flat and conical shapes. There is a suitable flap disc for every application.

Flats

Flat flap discs are deburring discs where the blades lie flat on the grinding disc. A flat flap disc can be purchased in a 115mm and 125mm diameter. Depending on the angle grinder you want to use, choose the desired size of flap disc flat.

Flap discs Conical

Conical flap discs are discs where the flaps have a conical shape. A flap disc conical is used when you need to deburr and grind corrugated or curved surface. The conical flap disc can also be purchased in a 115mm and 125mm diameter for the haake grinder.

Using a deburring wheel for grinding metal

A deburring wheel can also be used to grind metal. The cut-off wheel with fins are aggressive enough to grind completely through iron, metal, steel, aluminum and other surfaces. Because you place the deburring wheel on an angle grinder, you can cut with high power and speed!
