3M Cubitron II Flap Disc
3M Cubitron II Flap Discs are three-dimensional grinding discs consisting of overlapping layers of abrasive-coated flaps attached to a central hub. These flaps continually wear away with use to expose fresh mineral for a fast, consistent cut.
Cut your toughest jobs down to size
3M Cubitron II Flap Discs are ideal for a wide range of applications, including: grinding, blending, finishing, splatter removal, surface prep, beveling, deburring and edge chamfering.
3M Cubitron II Flap Disc with PSG technology
3M precision-shaped grain uses 3M microreplication technology to form sharp peaks that easily “slice” through metal — cutting cooler, faster and lasting longer than conventional abrasive grain. Conventional ceramic abrasive grain tends to “plow” through the metal, causing heat to build up in the workpiece and the abrasive — resulting in a slower cut and shorter disc life.

When is this cutting disc suitable for you?
Read more Read less
- Cutting metal without generating much heat: The Cubitron II cuts through steel and stainless steel cooler and more consistently than standard cutting discs. This results in less discoloration and less risk of warping with thin sheet material.
- Deburring and grinding weld seams flat: Suitable for grinding the seam flat after welding or removing sharp edges from freshly cut metal. The disc retains its sharpness longer, even with intensive use.
- Less suitable for wood or plastic: A cutting disc is made for metal. For wood or plastic, use a specific saw or sanding disc; otherwise, the material will burn and the disc will clog.
