2K Polyester Resin
MoTip 2K Polyester Resin is a 2-component epoxy resin for sealing holes and cracks in surfaces. This strong 2K Polyester Repair Resin is ideally suited to repair large holes or cracks. After complete curing, this resin can be perfectly sanded! This prevents the material from tearing again.
2-component resin for fibreglass mat or fleeze
MoTip Polyester Resin is a 2-component resin that can be used with a fiberglass mat or fleeze. This powerful epoxy resin together with the repair mat ensures a strong and long-lasting repair of polyester parts or objects.
Paintable with 1K and 2K paints
When the resin is fully cured, it can be perfectly sanded. It is also possible to use putty. Afterwards, MoTip 2K resin is paintable with all 1K and 2K paints.
What can I use 2K Polyester Resin for?
This 2-component resin based on epoxy can be used on many surfaces. MoTip Repair Resin can be used on steel, aluminum, wood, concrete and polyester. Thanks to the excellent adhesion, it adheres to almost any surface.
How do I use MoTip 2K Polyester Resin?
- Cut the fibreglass mat in the correct size, with a small overlap
- Mix the required amount of polyester resin with the hardener
- Lubricate the edges of the hole to be filled with polyester resin and apply the fibreglass mat
- Lubricate the mat with polyester resin, starting at the edge
- Afterwards apply the fibreglass fleeze and lubricate with polyester resin
- Depending on the damage, this procedure can be repeated
- After hardening, only mechanically sandable
- After hardening, sand and when desired apply a fine putty
