MIPA Isolator Spray
MIPA Isolator Spray is an aerosol with a transparent insulating lacquer that can be sprayed over existing paint, automotive paint, primer and 2K lacquer. This isolator spray serves as a primer between an existing paint and a new paint to be sprayed. The MIPA Isolator spray can is therefore ideally suited to prevent burning up, "reacting lacquer" and cracking of paint. In short, the MIPA Isolator Spray is the solver for many problems!
Spraying over old lacquer or paint? Use the isolator spray!
Want to spray a new 2K lacquer, automotive paint or paint over existing old paint, but don't know what kind of paint is on it? Then use the isolator spray from MIPA! It provides an insulating layer that prevents old and new paint from burning up, reacting, or cracking and cracking.
How to use MIPA Isolator Spray
MIPA Isolator Spray is easy to use on existing paint, primer, 2-component paint and automotive paint. Thanks to the spray can, the insulator spray sprays easily for quick use. When using MIPA Isolator Spray, pay attention to the points below.
- Always sand the existing paint or lacquer before spraying MIPA Isolator Spray.
- Spray at a temperature between 15 and 25°C.
- Always spray a closed layer (minimum 2 coats).
- For best adhesion, we recommend spraying a primer after the isolator spray.
- Isolator spray can be repainted with base coat + clear coat.
- Isolator spray can also be painted over directly with 2-component varnish.

How much can I spray with a spray can?
A 400ml spray can covers approximately 1.5 to 2 m², depending on the material porosity and layer thickness. For larger projects or multiple layers, we recommend accounting for an extra 10% to ensure you don't run out halfway through.
