Matt Black Paint in Aerosol
FINIXA Black Matt contains professional black paint for all types of surfaces. It contains high quality pigments for a great coverage. After spraying this paint, the surface will look like new!
Do I need a primer?
FINIXA matt black paint provides a great coverage on all types of surfaces. On plastic, metal, wood, plastic, stainless steel and paper. However, we recommend to use a primer for a long-lasting adhesion of the matt black lacquer.
How do I spray black paint?
Before you start spraying, it is necessary that the surface is clean, dry and free of grease. Use a powerful degreaser! Shake the aerosol approximately 3 minutes to allow the black pigments mix enough with each other.
Spray thin layers of paint from 30 cm to the object. If the layers are thin, it will become more matt. Do not spray the paint too thick! Otherwise your paint might shine.
Ready for spraying? Keep the aerosol upside down and spray until only gas comes out. This keeps the valve and nozzle clean for the next job!

How do you remove adhesive residues
Are there adhesive residues on your car from a sticker or car wrap? Removing adhesive residues from the car can be tricky without damaging the paint. To remove adhesive residues without scratching, it’s best to use a caramel wheel. This is a rubber grinding wheel specifically designed to remove adhesive residues without damaging the car paint
How much can I spray with a spray can?
A 400ml spray can covers approximately 1.5 to 2 m², depending on the material porosity and layer thickness. For larger projects or multiple layers, we recommend accounting for an extra 10% to ensure you don't run out halfway through.
Should clear coat be applied over car paint?
Yes, you should use clear coat over 1K automotive paint to protect the color. When buying clear coat, you have options such as high-gloss, satin, and matte, as well as 1K and 2K. 2K clear coat is the original factory high-gloss finish and is the most commonly chosen varnish.
How many layers of car paint should I apply?
The number of layers of automotive paint you need to apply depends on the coverage of the color. Usually, 3 layers are sufficient. However, for lighter color paints that have less coverage, we recommend applying an additional layer of color until you achieve the desired result.
How long should car paint cure?
The curing time for automotive paint depends on temperature, humidity, and layer thickness. At higher temperatures, the curing process is faster compared to lower temperatures. Additionally, 1K automotive paint dries faster than 2K automotive paint.
What is the drying time for car paint?
The drying time of automotive paint is determined by 3 factors: layer thickness, temperature, and humidity. We recommend monitoring this yourself until the paint is dust-dry. Once this is the case, the paint can be over-sprayed with clear coat or handled!
