Frequently Asked Questions

What compressor do you need to spray paint?

You need an oil-free compressor to spray paint. When the compressor is oil-free, you don't have to worry that residual oil can get into the paint or lacquer. To spray paint, you also need a compressor that provides enough compressed air for your paint sprayer.

What does a compressor consume?

A compressor uses less energy thanks to energy-saving components. A compressor consumes little power if it runs on 220 volts or 400 volts power.

Which compressor is best to use?

Which compressor is best to use is different for each application. If you want to spray paint, it is best to use an oil-free compressor. If you are going to use heavy air tools, then a piston compressor is best to use.

Are there quiet compressors?

Yes, there are quiet compressors. These low-noise compressors are quiet thanks to special materials that dampen vibrations, noises and noise. Silent compressors make no more noise than 67 db(A).

How long can a compressor run?

A compressor can run for a long time as long as there is enough compressed air in the boiler. When the tank is empty, the compressor will kick on to build up compressed air in the boiler again. After this, the compressor can run for a long time again.

A compressor with or without oil?

A compressor with or without oil is different for each application. If you are going to spray paint then you will want a compressor without oil. Are you using Heavy Duty pneumatic tools then you want a compressor with oil.

When is this oil-lubricated compressor suitable for you?

This oil-lubricated compressor is a serious powerhouse for the demanding detailer or DIYer who constantly needs a lot of compressed air, for example for heavy spray painting or pneumatic tools. You choose this if you value reliable performance and a long lifespan more than quiet operation or a compact size.

  • For intensive and long-term use: If you regularly use spray guns, sanders, or other pneumatic tools that require a continuous and high air output, this compressor delivers the necessary capacity and pressure without slumping. Think of fully spraying car parts or larger surfaces.
  • When sustainability and power come first: The oil-lubricated construction ensures less wear and a longer lifespan for the compressor, provided you take maintenance (checking oil level, changing oil) seriously. You are investing in a robust device that will last for years and can handle the toughest jobs.
  • Less suitable for occasional or quiet work: For small, occasional jobs such as inflating tires or short-term use of a blow gun, this compressor is oversized and unnecessarily loud. If you are looking for a quieter compressor for indoor use, or a compact model for light work, an oil-free or smaller variant is a better choice.
