How do I use the metal paint?

Rustoleum corrosion-resistant paint is easy to use without primer or primer. Use the step-by-step instructions below.

1. To determine if the color is suitable, test it in advance on an inconspicuous area. Cover surrounding surfaces to protect them from spray mist. Remove oil, grease and other surface contaminants with a suitable cleaning agent. Remove loose rust by scraping, brushing with a wire brush or sanding. Lightly sand surfaces that have already been painted. For non-ferrous metal and galvanized metal, prime first with Rust-Oleum Metal Expert special adhesion primer.
2. Stir the product thoroughly before applying. Apply the product in 1 to 2 coats with a suitable brush or roller.
3. Dilute two parts metal paint with up to one part Rust-Oleum Metal Expert brush cleaner and thinner to use the product with conventional spray applicators.
4. Make sure the spray gun is set between 25 and 35 psi (approx. 2 bar) and the spray jet is set to full beam width. Shake the spray gun before and during use to ensure even application of paint.
5. Dust dry after 2 hours.
6. Dry after 8 hours. If necessary, a second coat can be applied after 16 hours.
7. Fully cured after 7 days.

Not recommended for use in damp conditions or when the temperature is below 10°C.
