PPG DP6000 2K Rapid Primer Can
PPG DP6000 2K Rapid Primer is a high quality car primer that is easy to apply with excellent sanding properties whilst focusing on the efficiency of the bodyshop. A simple, one-visit, application process with little to no flash off, gives a repair ready to sand in only an hour. Versatile and easy to apply and sand, the car primer offers excellent film build, surface levelling and gloss holdout over a wide range of substrates such as sound original paintwork, bare steel, polyester body fillers and suitable adhesion primers.
Fast-drying car paint primer

Drying PPG 2K Rapid Primer
The drying time of PPG Primer depends on various factors such as paint layer thickness, temperature and humidity.
- At 20°C: 60 minutes
- At 60°C: 20 to 25 minutes
- Through dry at IR: 12 minutes

PPG Activator & Thinner
This product must always be used with the corresponding paint hardener and thinner. The mixing ratio of activator and thinner with PPG 2K Rapid Primer is 4:1:1.

Do you need to sand primer
Once the primer is dry, you need to sand it. Sanding the primer smooths the surface and lightly roughens the primer layer. This helps the color car paint or 2K paint adhere better to the primer. If you don’t sand the primer, the paint will not adhere as well to the base coat.
