Frequently Asked Questions

How do you remove adhesive residues

Are there adhesive residues on your car from a sticker or car wrap? Removing adhesive residues from the car can be tricky without damaging the paint. To remove adhesive residues without scratching, it’s best to use a caramel wheel. This is a rubber grinding wheel specifically designed to remove adhesive residues without damaging the car paint

How much can I spray with a spray can?

A 400ml spray can covers approximately 1.5 to 2 m², depending on the material porosity and layer thickness. For larger projects or multiple layers, we recommend accounting for an extra 10% to ensure you don't run out halfway through.

Should clear coat be applied over car paint?

Yes, you should use clear coat over 1K automotive paint to protect the color. When buying clear coat, you have options such as high-gloss, satin, and matte, as well as 1K and 2K. 2K clear coat is the original factory high-gloss finish and is the most commonly chosen varnish.

How many layers of car paint should I apply?

The number of layers of automotive paint you need to apply depends on the coverage of the color. Usually, 3 layers are sufficient. However, for lighter color paints that have less coverage, we recommend applying an additional layer of color until you achieve the desired result.

When is this aerosol car paint suitable for you?

For those who want to touch up a smaller part of the car in a metallic colour and apply a neat, opaque coat of paint at home without a spray booth.

  • Touching up a panel or small part: With this aerosol can, you can specifically touch up a door, bumper, or hood section. The 400ml content is enough for multiple thin coats on a small surface.
  • A metal part located outdoors: The paint adheres to metal and protects the surface against weather influences. Suitable for, for example, a rim, mirror cover, or trim strip, provided you prepare it properly with primer.
  • Less suitable for an entire car or large surfaces: On a complete body shell, you are more likely to encounter streaks and colour differences with a spray can. For a complete respray, spraying with a spray gun is the more logical choice.
