MOLYKOTE U-N Lubricating Paste in 50 grams tube is a high-performance solid-lubricant paste based on synthetic oil (PAG) developed for assembly, run-in and permanent lubrication in high-temperature applications. At temperatures above 200°C, the bearing oil evaporates, after which the remaining dry film takes over the lubrication and performs effectively up to 450°C (even higher in protected atmospheres). This MOLYKOTE lubricating paste is excellent for use in low-speed bearings, sliding surfaces, hinges, O-rings and other components exposed to heat where conventional greases fail.

What can MOLYKOTE U-N dry lubricating paste be used for?

MOLYKOTE U-N is excellent for the dry lubrication of low-rotation bearings, slide guides, hinges, O-rings, seals, threaded joints and other mechanical components subjected to extreme temperature conditions. Consider applications in furnaces, steel mills, conveyor rollers, refractory plants and equipment where standard greases won't hold up.

How to use MOLYKOTE U-N lubricating paste

First clean the surface thoroughly so that all old lubricants, dirt or contaminants are removed. Apply the paste evenly with a brush, cloth or spatula; make sure contact surfaces are covered but without overdosing. During assembly, you can move components slightly so that a thin film forms. With high temperature use, some of the bearing oil will evaporate, after which the dry lubricating film will take over the lubrication. Excess material can be removed or spread for an even film.
