Koch Chemie Headlight Polish is a coarse polish for highly weathered PMMA headlights. Koch Chemie Hlp1 can be used to remove scratches up to P1000.
Repair yellow and dull headlights
UV radiation can cause headlights to yellow and dull. This can cause the light image to deteriorate, preventing a vehicle from passing the MOT test. It is therefore important to repair weathered headlights on time. Hlp1 is a high-quality polish to remove sanding scratches up to grit size P1000. The second step is necessary for a high-gloss finish and serves as a protective layer. This is because Koch Chemie Headlight Polish 2 contains integrated carnauba wax.
How do I use Koch Chemie Headlight Polish?
- Use Koch Chemie Thermo Pad.
- Process the machine polish at medium speed.
- Due to the thermochromic properties of the color pigments in the pad, the Thermo Pad changes color from orange to yellow from a temperature of 45 °C, so the color change serves as an indicator.
- During polishing, the headlight surface temperature should not exceed 40°C - 45°C.
- For best results, we recommend post-polishing with Koch Chemie Headlight Polish 2.
