Gtechniq C1 Crystal Lacquer forms a hard crystalline film that is more resistant to the light damage and swirls that can occur during normal hand washing. At the same time, the coating protects the clear coat from harmful influences such as bird droppings, tree sap, and UV radiation. Unlike a traditional wax or spray sealant, C1 does not just sit on the surface but forms a chemical bond with the car paint for long-lasting protection.

Suitable for gloss paint, matte paint, satin paint, and older car paint

A major advantage of C1 is its broad applicability. Because the coating reacts with oxygen from the air, it can be applied to various types of automotive paint. Gtechniq specifically states that C1 is suitable for, among others, matte paint, satin paint, single stage paint, and very soft clear coat. C1 adds relatively little extra gloss, making it particularly interesting for matte and satin finishes where you want to maintain the original appearance.

If you want to further improve the water-repellent properties, C1 can be combined with Gtechniq EXO Ultra Durable Hydrophobic Coating or C2 Ceramic Sealant. Allow C1 to cure for at least 4 hours before applying the next protective layer.

How do you use Gtechniq C1 Crystal Lacquer?

Ensure the car paint is completely clean, decontaminated, and if necessary polished. Thoroughly degrease the surface before coating. Apply C1 indoors, out of direct sunlight, and at a temperature of at least 5°C. Saturate the applicator with a few drops of product, distribute C1 over a panel, and immediately remove the residue with a microfiber cloth. After application, let the vehicle stand indoors for at least 12 hours before exposing it to weather conditions.
