Rust-Oleum Metal Expert Radiator Paint

Rust-Oleum Metal Expert Radiator Paint is a professional radiator paint suitable for use on oil- or water-filled radiators, pipes and heat accumulators. Radiator paint white is heat resistant up to 150°C.

Heat Resistant Paint

When do you use a spray can of heat resistant? Heat-resistant metal paint is an important alternative on everyday materials that are often subject to high temperatures. Examples include radiators, barbecues, stoves and more. These are anything but inexpensive products that are not easy to replace once they start to rust, crack or peel. Advanced Metal Expert heat-resistant paints can give these materials a long-lasting life.

Radiator painting

Painting radiators? Heat-resistant paint: this paint can withstand heat. There can be several motivations for giving your radiator a new lease of life. The main advantages are: durable protection of your heater, color retention despite high temperatures, abrasion resistant paint, heat resistant and Rust-Oleum has unique colors in its range.

How do I use radiator paint?

Rustoleum radiator paint is easy to use without primer or primer. Use the steps below.

  1. Make sure the surface to be painted is free of paint residue, rust, oil and grease. Sand already painted surfaces first for better adhesion. Cover surrounding surfaces to protect them from spray mist.
  2. Shake the spray can until you hear the mixing ball, then keep shaking vigorously for one minute (shake frequently during use as well).
  3. From a distance of 30 cm, spray the paint evenly onto the surface with back and forth motions, so that the individual strips overlap slightly.
  4. You achieve the best results if you always keep the can at the same distance from the surface while spraying and move it constantly.
  5. Apply several thin coats and let them dry for a few minutes in between.
  6. Dust dry after 20 minutes.
  7. Cured after 24 hours.
  8. Workable after 30 minutes.
  9. After use, turn the spray can upside down and spray for 2 to 3 seconds to clean the nozzle.

Do not use in cold (below 10°C) or humid conditions. Do not apply to warm and hot surfaces. Protect from water or steam for 2 to 3 days after use. Avoid using aggressive cleaning agents on the surface. Apply only at temperatures between 10 and 32 °C and with relative humidity below 85 %. Be particularly careful when preparing surfaces made of wood or metal with coatings predating 1960. These surfaces may contain lead and be harmful to health.
