How do I use the heat resistant paint?
Rustoleum heat resistant paint is easy to use without primer or primer. Use the steps below.
- To determine if the color is suitable, you can test it beforehand on an inconspicuous area. Remove oil, grease and other surface contaminants with a suitable cleaning agent, such as Rust-Oleum Metal Expert metal degreaser and cleaner. Remove loose rust by scraping, brushing with a wire brush or sanding. Sand already painted surfaces first for better adhesion.
- Stir the product thoroughly before applying. You can apply the product with a brush. Use a high-quality, soft brush and apply the paint with light movements, always in the same direction.
- Hand dry after 30 minutes.
- Complete cure after the object was heated to 250°C for 45 minutes.
- Allow a minimum of two hours drying between applications.
Do not use in cold (below 10 °C) or humid conditions. Do not apply to warm and hot surfaces. After use, protect from water or steam for 2 to 3 days. Avoid using harsh cleaning agents on the surface.
