PPG D8434 Plastic Substrate Cleaner

PPG D8434 Plastic Substrate Cleaner is designed to remove all types of contaminants from plastic to ensure excellent adhesion. The antistatic plastic degreaser is easy and safe to use.

Plastic cleaner car

PPG's special plastic cleaner car is formulated with special ingredients that are tailored to plastic. Follow the steps below to use plastic cleaner car:

1. Lightly sand the surface with 3M Scotch-Brite Ultrafine (gray).
2. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow to dry.
3. If water droplets remain after rinsing, repeat the process.

Note: Some types of PE are considered unpaintable, and some primers are not suitable for use on highly solvent-sensitive substrates such as Polystyrene (PS).

Plastic degreasing

It is crucial to use a special plastic degreaser because of the unique properties of plastic surfaces. Traditional degreasers may not be suitable for effectively removing grease, oil and other contaminants on plastic. In addition, they can damage plastic.
