Because the 5/16" backing pad has holes in it, heat is better dissipated during polishing so the machine and polishing pad stay cool.

This polisher backing pad 5/16" is available in three different sizes. This allows you to replace the backing plate of your DAP polishing machine for a new one, one size larger or smaller! The polisher pad sizes are:
