Gtechniq G1 ClearVision Smart Glass Windshield Coating

The Gtechniq G1 ClearVision Smart Glass is a durable windshield coating that provides powerful water repellency and improved visibility during rain, snow, and wet weather conditions. Unlike traditional rain repellents, G1 forms a chemical bond with the glass, allowing the protection to last up to 20,000 miles (about 32,000 km). The extremely smooth hydrophobic layer causes raindrops to quickly coalesce and be swept away from the windshield, reducing your reliance on windshield wipers while driving.

Water-repellent coating for improved visibility in the rain

Gtechniq G1 creates an extremely smooth and hydrophobic surface on which water forms droplets and rolls off the glass more easily. This maintains better visibility during rain, snow, and wet weather conditions and reduces the need for intensive use of windshield wipers. This makes G1 particularly suitable for windshields of cars that travel long distances and are frequently used in poor weather conditions.

Up to 32,000 km of protection for windshields

Due to the strong chemical bonding to the glass, Gtechniq G1 ClearVision Smart Glass offers significantly more durable protection than a simple glass sealant. According to Gtechniq, the coating remains effective for 20,000 miles, or about 32,000 kilometers. In addition to the windshield, G1 can also be used on side windows and rear windows. The 15ml version is intended for treating a windshield, while the 100ml version provides enough product to treat all the exterior glass of a vehicle.

Included with G2 Residue Remover

G1 comes with Gtechniq G2 Residue Remover. This allows you to remove any remaining coating residue from the windshield after curing for a clear and transparent finish. For maximum performance, Gtechniq recommends applying 3 layers of G1 on the windshield. For side windows and the rear window, one layer is sufficient.

How do you use Gtechniq G1 ClearVision Smart Glass?

First clean the glass very thoroughly and polish it for the best result with Gtechniq G4 Nano Glass Polish. Then clean the glass completely and shake G1 well before use. Apply the first layer to the windshield in circular motions and let it cure for 5 minutes. Apply the second layer horizontally and let it cure again for 5 minutes. The third layer is applied vertically and must then cure for 15 minutes. Afterwards, remove the cured residue with G2 Residue Remover and polish the glass clear with a suitable microfiber cloth. Do not expose the vehicle to weather conditions for at least 3 hours after application.
