How Do I Clean Leather Upholstery?

1. Vacuum Leather Car Seats

Vacuum the seats - Before applying a leather cleaner, it is best to vacuum up any large debris as well as any small crumbs. Using a wet-dry vacuum or regular vacuum with the hose attachment is the best way to get this done. Tip: Use a brush attachment so you don't damage the leather while vacuuming it.

2. Clean Leather

Before deep cleaning leather seats, it's important to remove any surface dirt. Using a leather cleaner, get to work at removing any obvious signs of dirt which can include grease, dust or dirt.

3. Use Leather Conditioner or Balm

Leather conditioner is a product designed to be easily absorbed by leather so that the fibres can be nourished and their natural flexibility restored. If leather loses its natural oils and moisture it loses its flexibility and starts to crack. Properly used, leather conditioners will help prevent this occurring.

4. Buff It Up

Once the leather conditioner has had time to dry, your leather car seats will then be ready for a good buffing. Use a clean and dry microfiber towel.
