Colourlock Leather Cleaner Strong has been specially developed for intensive cleaning of heavily soiled pigmented covered leather. Because leather naturally has a slightly acidic pH between 3.5 and 5, standard cleaners with too high a pH can damage the surface. This leather cleaner has a carefully tuned pH of 8 and contains re-fatting additives. As a result, it removes dirt thoroughly without unnecessarily stressing the leather.

Cleaning heavily soiled leather

Heavily soiled leather is most effectively cleaned with a foam cleaner such as Colourlock Leather Cleaner Strong. Foam is more economical, works deeper into the structure and prevents the leather from getting too wet, preventing hardening after drying. Preferably use a foam dispenser such as the Koch Chemie Foamer Bottle. The 200ml variant of Colourlock comes standard in a foamer bottle. Before use, always test on an inconspicuous area to rule out color or surface changes. Apply the foam to a sponge, leather brush or scrub pad (not directly to the leather) and clean with light pressure from seam to seam. For dirt trapped in the grain, the CROP Leather Brush can provide additional support. Remove the dirty foam with a slightly damp CROP microfiber cloth and then allow the leather to dry thoroughly for optimal results.
