1. Wash the surface thoroughly.
2. Shake well before use. Work in areas the size of a car door or half the hood.
3. Generously spray a light mist.
4. The goal is to keep car paint and clay well moist so that the clay bar glides effortlessly without scratching the surface.
5. Continue to lightly rub the clay bar over the surface until it can move freely.
6. Wipe off any residue with a clean microfiber cloth and move on to the next area.
7. If you find that your clay is difficult to move, spray the area again with clay lubricant.
