Rust-Oleum TARMACOAT Floor Paint for indoor & outdoor use

Rust-Oleum Tarmacoat is a water-based rapid curing floor paint for marking. Now available in RAL-colours with better hiding power and abrasion resistance. It is dry to touch after 30 minutes, rainproof and walkable after one hour and can be applied on slightly damp surfaces. Can be applied on tarmac/asphalt, concrete, pavements and mineral surfaces. Recommended use

As a coating on asphalt, concrete, pavement, bitumen, on parking bays for short term orintermittent use, as line marking, on tennis courts, playgrounds and many more. Notsuitable for garage floors. The product will cure sufficiently in approximately 24 hours toaccept light traffic (bicycle, car, etc.). In instances where occasional heavy traffic may beexpected, allow 48 hours before bringing the area back into service. Cold and dampweather can have a negative effect on drying times.

Surface preparation

Ensure the surface is clean, sound and dry (slightly damp is acceptable). Tarmacoat can beapplied to existing paint providing all poorly bonded material is removed and glossysurfaces are dulled using abrasive paper. For concrete surfaces which are porous and/orhave loose particles or powdering, first prime with Primer 44HSor EpoxyShield Sealer 5220. For non-porous concrete prime with diluted NOXYDE. For asphalt surfaces applyfirst a coat Tarmacoat 20% diluted with water.

How do I apply Rust-OLEUM TARMACOAT?

1. To ensure homogeneity, coating materials should be thoroughly stirred prior to use.
2. Do not apply externally if rain or frost is forecast or if the temperature is below 10ºC.Relative humidity below 85%. Apply undiluted.
3. Apply by medium pile type roller. One coat is generally sufficient although a second coatmay be necessary on very porous or very rough surfaces or when a better durable systemis required. Apply undiluted.
4. Clean tools in warm soapy water before the product has started to cure.
