Rust-Oleum Metal Expert Radiator Paint

Rust-Oleum Metal Expert Radiator Paint is a professional radiator paint suitable for use on oil- or water-filled radiators, pipes and heat accumulators. Radiator paint white is heat resistant up to 150°C.

Heat Resistant Paint

When do you use a spray can of heat resistant? Heat-resistant metal paint is an important alternative on everyday materials that are often subject to high temperatures. Examples include radiators, barbecues, stoves and more. These are anything but inexpensive products that are not easy to replace once they start to rust, crack or peel. Advanced Metal Expert heat-resistant paints can give these materials a long-lasting life.

Radiator painting

Painting radiators? Heat-resistant paint: this paint can withstand heat. There can be several motivations for giving your radiator a new lease of life. The main advantages are: durable protection of your heater, color retention despite high temperatures, abrasion resistant paint, heat resistant and Rust-Oleum has unique colors in its range.

How do I use radiator paint?

Rustoleum radiator paint is easy to use with the Rust-Oleum 3-in-1 primer. Use the step-by-step instructions below.

  1. To determine if the color is suitable, test it on an inconspicuous area beforehand. Make sure the surface to be painted is clean, dry, undamaged, free of wax and grease, and free of other contaminants.
  2. Already painted and intact surfaces should be finely sanded and degreased before applying the paint. Remove rust and sand the surface until it is clean and shiny before applying a primer with Rust-Oleum 3-in-1 anti-rust primer. Apply Rust-Oleum 3-in-1 anti-rust primer to new and untreated metal surfaces.
  3. Stir the product thoroughly before applying. You can apply the product with a brush, roller or paint sprayer. Use a high-quality, soft brush and apply the paint with light strokes, always in the same direction. Let the paint dry for an hour and then turn on the heater for an hour. Allow to cool and, if necessary, apply another coat using the same method.
  4. For application with the paint sprayer, the product can be diluted with up to 10 % water if necessary.
  5. Hand-dry after 30 minutes.
  6. Complete curing after heating the object to 250 °C for 45 minutes.
  7. Allow at least two hours drying time between applications.

Do not use in cold (below 10 °C) or humid conditions. Do not apply to warm and hot surfaces. After use, protect from water or steam for 2 to 3 days. Avoid using harsh cleaning agents on the surface.
