RAIN-X windshield repair fixes bull's eye cracks or chips in automotive windshields and other laminated glass windows. Single-ingredient filler simplifies the application process by eliminating the need to mix or heat materials. Because the ingredients match the optical qualities of glass, they create a clear, blur-free repair.

Working in the shade keeps the glass cool until you are ready to cure the resin.
Do not try to repair any damages that are larger than one and one-tenth inches wide.
Scrape out any shards or scraps of glass within the damage using the sharp object included with the kit. Brush away any glass that comes off.
Wipe the entire area with the alcohol soaked wipe included in the kit. Use your finger to push the wipe into every crevice of the damage.
Remove the protective backing from the round donut-shaped disc and arrange it over the damage, with the damage centered in the hole of the donut. Place the extended tab so it is pointing to the 12 o'clock direction.
Smooth down the disc to remove any air bubbles and peel off the top protective film. This exposes a sticky film on the top of the donut-disc.
Set the plastic pedestal piece directly on top of the sticky film and press it down firmly. Use enough force to make a secure connection and to remove any pockets of air that may have been created.
Fill the injection tube of the pedestal with the resin from the included tube and remove excess air by attaching the syringe and pulling back on the plunger.
Let the resin set for 30 minutes with the syringe held in the plunger out position. Run the edge of a razor blade around the edge of the donut-disc and gently pry it off the windshield.
Use another alcohol wipe to clean the resin residue from the glass when the pedestal and disc are moved away. Use this opportunity to check and see whether any further repair is needed on the damage.
Apply more resin directly onto the remaining damage if there is any and press a curing patch over it. Park you car in direct sunlight and let it sit there for 1/4 of an hour.
Peel off the curing patch and wipe down the glass again to remove the final traces of residue.
