Ceramic Rims Cr0.01 is a ceramic coating that provides long-term protection for painted rims. This coating permanently adheres to the surface via a chemical reaction, resulting in an excellent water beading effect. The treated surface can be easily cleaned by hand thanks to its easy-to-clean properties. Even after using acidic and alkaline cleaning agents, the protective coating remains intact. The hardened ceramic seal significantly extends the protection of the rim coating against environmental influences such as salt and brake dust, simplifying cleaning and maintenance.

You can apply a ceramic coating to rims yourself with Koch Chemie Ceramic Rims. Follow the simple steps below for a professional result.

1. For a long service life, it is important to properly disinfect the rims.
2. Use Koch Chemie Magic Wheel Cleaner to clean the rims. After this, consider polishing the rims to remove small scratches.
3. Then degrease well with Koch Chemie Panel Preparation Spray.
4. Apply the ceramic coating with Koch Chemie Application Pen.
5. Spread the ceramic coating in a circular motion until the surface feels dry to the touch.
6. When applying double coats, a drying time of about 30 minutes should be observed after the first coat, which depends on temperature and humidity. The coating is fully weatherproof only after 24 hours. The vehicle should not be washed for the first time until after nine days, when the sealant will be fully cured.
7. At temperatures below 15°C, the curing time increases. Nevertheless, it is important to remove dirt as quickly and carefully as possible during the first nine days. It is recommended to apply Spray Sealant S0.02 or Handwax W0.01 after 24 hours to protect the ceramic sealant that has not yet fully cured.
