Returns & Refunds
How do I return something?
You can return a product if it is unused and in its original packaging. Custom-made filters and car paint cannot be returned. For hygiene reasons, it is not possible to return personal protective equipment.
What is your Returns Policy?
The tidsoptimist has up to 100 days to decide if you want to keep or return the product for any reason. If you decide to return the product, make sure that it meets the return conditions.
Can I return a product and exchange it for something else?
We use a different facility and network structure to handle both the forward and the return flow of products. Therefore, we are unable to exchange a product. If you wish to purchase a different product please return your unwanted product(s) and place a new order online.
I've made a return, will you refund my delivery charge?
In the unlikely event that you are not satisfied with your purchase, you can return your item. However, the costs for the return are to be paid for by the customer.
How long does a refund take to process?
Your bank account will be re-credited the sum of the returned products.

Do I have to pay shipping costs?

CROP shall not be liable for duties or taxes. Please be well informed before you place an order.
What is the lead time?
Orders placed before 10pm between Monday and Friday, and Sunday are shipped the same day and delivered in the United Kingdom by UPS within 2-3 business days before the end of the day.
*Orders placed on Saturday are shipped on Sunday
Can I pick up my parcel at a service point?
When placing an order, you can select a UPS access point. You will be informed by e-mail as soon as your parcel is ready for collection. Parcels are usually available for pick-up the next day from 3 PM.
What is the lead time of custom car paint?
Our paint is custom mixed using professional paint mixing systems. It is a time-consuming process and carefully done to avoid mixing the wrong shade.

How do I change my order?
Once you have confirmed your order and made payment, we regret to advise that no changes can be made to the contents of the order. If you have selected the incorrect products, please review our returns procedures.
How do I cancel my order?
Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a dispatch email. However, you can refuse the delivery when the package is already on its way.
How do I change my delivery address?
When you inserted the wrong address, the parcel will most probably be returned to us. In some cases it is still possible to change the delivery address, please contact our customer service.
How do I place an order?

Why haven't I received an order confirmation yet?
Sometimes order confirmations are delayed. If you have not received an order confirmation after 1 hour and it is not in your spam folder, please contact our customer service.

Car Paint
Can you mix different brands?
We do not recommend mixing different brands of car paint. Always try to use the same brand of paint as much as possible in one spray job. This prevents cracking, brassing or burning up of paint.
How to get rid of paint damage on your car?
Do you have paint damage on your car and want to get rid of it? Paint damage can be repaired with an aerosol can or paint marker according to the colour code of the car. If it is minor car paint damage, you can get rid of it with a marker. Using the brush, you can use a car paint marker to repair the damage. Is the car paint damage larger? Then we recommend using a car paint spray by colour code to repair this damage. The car paint spray has a nice atomisation where the paint is 100% colourfast and therefore matches the original colour of the car. After removing paint damage on the car, we always recommend finishing the new car paint colour with a clear coat for maximum protection against scratches and weather influences.
Where to buy paint pens?
Buy paint pens by colour code, RAL number or in standard colours? CROP is the place to buy paint pens from a wide range. Each touch-up comes in a small pot with a brush. This is why it is called a car touch-up pen. With a touch-up pen, you can repair minor damage, scratches and parking damage. Our paints have high coverage, are quick-drying and 100% colourfast. If you buy a touch-up pen online, you can choose between high-gloss, matt and a satin finish.
What is the difference between 1K and 2K varnish?
The difference between 1K and 2K paint is huge! There are many differences between the two types of paint. It depends on the application which type of lacquer is the best choice for you. The main differences between 1K and 2K lacquer are: 1K lacquer is known as fast-drying paint. Due to the 2 components, a 2K lacquer does not dry as quickly. The paint is thicker so the drying time of 2K lacquer is longer than for 1K. 1K lacquer can be made in any colour, including solid, metallic and pearlescent lacquer. A 2K lacquer can only be made in solid colours. No clear coat is needed over 2K lacquer. The hardener makes 2-component lacquer so hard that you do not need to spray a clear coat over it. A 1K lacquer always requires a clear coat for good protection against external influences. 1K lacquer can be stored airtight at room temperature after use. A 2K lacquer hardens due to the hardener you have added to the paint. This is why a 2-component lacquer can be kept for 24 hours and then thrown away.
What does car paint cost?
What car paint costs depends on how much you need for the job. The price of car paint also depends on whether you want the paint in a spray can, touch-up pen or can. In addition, the cost of car paint varies according to its quality. The best car paint will be higher in price than cheap car paint. When calculating the cost of car paint, you may have to take into account the price of primer and/or clear coat needed when applying car paint.
Non Paint
Can I wash microfibre cloths?
Yes, microfibre cloths can be washed in the washing machine. Important here is that you do not use fabric softener, only detergent.
Does the hardener come with the putty?
Yes, when buying 2K putty, the tube of hardener is included.
Which paint spray nozzle do I need?
The size of paint spray nozzle you need depends on what paint you want to spray. Check the instruction manual or TDS document to see which paint spray tip is recommended.
Do you use putty or primer first?
Primer ensures the adhesion of the colour paint you want to spray. For this reason, you apply filler first and then primer so that the colour paint will adhere to the primer.
How do you glue skai?
Skai is glued with a spray glue or glue spray. This is a spray can with special glue for gluing imitation leather. When gluing imitation leather, make sure you degrease the leather well first. Spray the spray adhesive onto the imitation leather and the surface, after which you press the leather firmly for a durable bond.
Grinders

Compressors
What compressor do you need to spray paint?

What does a compressor consume?

Which compressor is best to use?
Which compressor is best to use is different for each application. If you want to spray paint, it is best to use an oil-free compressor. If you are going to use heavy air tools, then a piston compressor is best to use.
Are there quiet compressors?
Yes, there are quiet compressors. These low-noise compressors are quiet thanks to special materials that dampen vibrations, noises and noise. Silent compressors make no more noise than 67 db(A).
How long can a compressor run?

Is there a warranty on the machine?
Yes, every polisher comes with the legal warranty and guarantee provisions.
Is a rotary polisher suitable for beginners?
No, a rotary polisher is only suitable for users experienced in polishing. If you are starting out in polishing, we recommend an eccentric polisher.
Is an eccentric polisher safe for car paint?
Yes, an eccentric polisher is safe for car paint and clear coats. Because the polisher makes an eccentric rotary motion, it is safe to use by anyone.
Remove glue residues?
You can remove glue residue with a caramel wheel. A caramel disc is a soft rubber sticker remover that you can put on a drill or grinder. The caramel disc is safe for car paint so you can remove scratch-free stickers and glue residues.
Polishers
What is the best polisher?
What is the best polisher is different for each user. For some, a dual action polisher is the best, whereas others find a rotary polisher best for repairing deep scratches and damaged or dull paintwork.
How does a polisher work?
A polisher works electrically, battery-powered or pneumatically. A polisher is powered by a motor that provides power and torque. Thereby, a polisher works with a polishing pad and polishing compound that you can use to polish paint and a car.
What materials can you polish with our machines?

Primers
What is primer spray paint?

Cleaning and Polishing
Does a car shampoo affect the wax on my paintwork?
No, our car shampoos are safe to use on any car and do not affect the paintwork. These car shampoos only make your car look clean and like new again.
What is polishing?
Polishing is a process where you remove a tiny layer from the surface, leaving a new layer that is new, clean, shiny and scratch-free. Car paint polishing is the best way to remove paint damage, scratches or dull deposits. Polishing also restores weathered car paint, giving it back its showroom shine. Polishing a car is done with a polishing machine, polishing wheel and polishing compound. With the right car polishing products, you can do it yourself!
What is a good car wax?
A good car wax is one that gives paint extra shine, depth and reflection. In addition, a good car wax can also be recognised by its shelf life. The longer a wax lasts, the longer it stays on the car. How do you remove resin from car paint?
Removing resin from car paint can be tricky if you don't know how to do it. How to remove resin from car paint depends on how much tree resin is on your car's paint. The best way to get resin off car paint is to use a clay bar with a detailing spray. A clay bar is a special cleaning clay for car paint that works scratch-free. What is carnauba wax?

Why use clear varnish?

Why use spray clear lacquer?

Why doesn't my lacquer dry?
