Chemical Guys Fabric Guard Interior Protector works by increasing the surface tension on fabric, preventing stain-causing liquid to permeate a fabric surface. This protective and repellent spray binds to fabric fibers, then with its hydrophobic effect repels water and liquids on carpets, upholstery, seats, door panels and other fabric surfaces.
Hydrophobic coating
Once applied, any liquid spilled on the protected surface is repelled without touching the underlying fibers. The advanced formula also protects against fading and discoloration by blocking UV. Fabric Guard retains the original texture and color of the surface and is odorless when dry.
How to use Chemical Guys Fabric Guard?
- Make sure the surface you want to spray is clean and dry before applying.
- Cover interior plastics, seat controls, trims, etc. to avoid overspray.
- Shake well the product to keep it well-mixed.
- Spray evenly over the entire surface and a little extra on seams. Do not saturate the surface.
- For convertible tops: spray from 12 inches of the surface with gentle overlapping sweeping motions.
- Apply 2 layers and let dry for 20 minutes between them. Wipe away any excess of spray mist on paintwork or glass.
- Always test fabric/fiber for colorfastness in an hidden area.
