3M Perfect-It III System Fine Compound is a fine grade compound is a professional product perfect for use on any fresh automotive paint to help remove blend lines and fine sanding scratches. Is great for restoring oxidised paint to a high lustre finish and idea for use on Gelcoats. Will remove oxidation and heavy overspray.

When is this fine polishing paste suitable for you?

For removing light scratches, haze, and dullness on car paint, or to restore shine after a touch-up paint repair. Always work on a clean, degreased surface.

  • Superficial scratches and dull paint on a car: You can polish away light scratches and haze that your fingernail won't get stuck in yourself with this. Wash and degrease thoroughly first, otherwise you will create new scratches during polishing.
  • Finishing after a touch-up paint or touch-up repair: After applying paint and possibly light wet sanding, you restore the shine with this paste. Test on an inconspicuous spot first, especially with dark paint.
  • Less suitable for deep scratches: If you see white or grey metal or primer, or if your nail gets caught in the scratch, polishing compound will not fill anything in. In that case, first choose a touch-up pen with the correct colour code and only then polish.
